I'm a Bay Area native and I became a therapist after 15 years as a professional, with the last 12 years spent in the tech sector. I have firsthand experience of the weight of academically rigorous settings, the relentless pressure of high-intensity work, and the challenge of building a meaningful personal identity alongside professional ambition. I particularly enjoy working with teens, adults, and couples navigating work or academic stress, relational challenges, and life transitions. Your experience in therapy will be as unique as you are, but my approach is consistently active and collaborative. We will partner to define your goals and navigate the path toward them. We'll explore patterns in relationships, decisions, and sense of self, and how these have been shaped over time. It is often the case that the very strategies that helped you navigate your earlier life are no longer the right tools for the life you are building now. Together, we’ll look at what is working and what is no longer serving you, with the goal of building an intentional, flexible, and authentic way of moving through the world. My style is warm, earnest, and direct. I use evidence-based practices and draw from attachment theory, family systems, and psychodynamic approaches to deepen insight, and incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build practical skills and move toward what matters most. I am also trained in Sensorimotor trauma therapy, which is an approach for working with body-based indicators of emotional experience.
