Hi! I’m Katie, and I am really looking forward to meeting you! I want to emphasize that I am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and am committed to providing a safe, supportive space for those who identify. Beginning the process of therapy can feel daunting and messy. You may be feeling alone while struggling with anxiety, depression, and perhaps some negative self-talk like, I’m not good enough, I’m a failure, or I’m a burden. If that’s the case, I want you to know you are not alone. Many individuals face these challenges, and having someone to talk to about them can truly help. Whatever you are going through right now is hard and likely overwhelming. By identifying your emotions, naming your beliefs, and uncovering “the why” behind what you’re experiencing, you can gain a sense of control and power over your situation—and with that, the ability to change it. As Brené Brown beautifully said: “Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.” If you’re ready to dive in and be brave, I’m here and ready to guide you through it.
