Hello there! My name is Katie and I work often with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, gender, sexuality, and racial identity development, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship concerns, and work stress/burnout. I focus my work on supporting QTBIPOC people, and I enjoy working with adults and various relationship structures. I value processing the intersections of identity and the ways various oppressive systems impact our ability to seek connection, belonging, and personal and collective agency. Clients who come to me often hold intellectual awareness of their lived experiences and long to become cycle breakers, but feel disconnected from themselves and/or struggle to change generational patterns that are no longer working. I integrate trauma-informed and relational therapy approaches, which may include Internal Family Systems Therapy/parts work, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and attachment theories. I utilize somatic interventions as well when appropriate to help clients reconnect with joy, pleasure, and awe in their bodies. Regardless of my approach, I center decolonial principles to my work. I believe you hold deep, intergenerational wisdom and my role is to facilitate your innate ability to connect with and invite it to move you. If any of this resonates with you, please reach out to me! I'd be happy to explore whether we'd be a good fit.
