Introduction

Hi, I'm Katie, a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. My areas of specialization include child and adolescent psychiatry, anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment and relationship issues, and I integrate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based interventions, to meet each client’s unique needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to create meaningful change in their lives. In my work with clients, I prioritize creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and completely free of judgment. My style is warm, open-minded, and down-to-earth—because at the end of the day, I’m just an average person, too, navigating life like everyone else. I deeply value honesty and authenticity, so while I am patient, understanding, and here to listen, I’ll also always be real with you. Clients can expect to walk away from our sessions feeling heard, supported, and more connected to themselves. I believe therapy should be both reflective and practical, so together we’ll work on setting goals that are meaningful and personal to your life—not just generic milestones I always remind clients is that growth is not always linear—there will be ups and downs, and that’s completely normal. What matters most is showing up for yourself, and I’ll be right there with you every step of the way, offering encouragement, honest feedback, and a steady presence as you move forward. I recognize the importance of a well-rounded approach to mental health, which is why I value not only pharmacological intervention but also therapy and functional psychiatry which focuses on getting to the root of the problem through nutrition, lab testing and a systems biology approach.
