I’m Katie Rohwer (she/her), and I’m passionate about supporting teens (13+) and adults as they move through grief, embrace life’s transitions, and rediscover their sense of self. Having personally experienced loss, I know how lonely the journey can feel and how transformative it is to have genuine support. My approach centers on a deep connection, ensuring you feel truly seen, heard, and understood every step of the way. When everything feels uncertain, your identity, your direction, and even your sense of self, it’s easy to feel alone. You don’t have to figure it out by yourself. Our work together is collaborative and empowering. You are in the driver’s seat, and I’m here to support you with curiosity, compassion, and respect. And maybe some humor along the way! I come from a decade of working in animal-assisted therapy and have extensive experience working with youth and adults. I use a strength-based, affirming approach, drawing from IFS, CBT, and person-centered therapy. I am neurodivergent-affirming and an LGBTQ+2S ally. I am spiritually open and I strive to create a space where all parts of you are welcome. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in Washington State with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Alongside my clinical training, I am a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, which informs my approach to equine-assisted and experiential work. Reach out here to schedule a free 20-minute consultation to see if working together feels like a good fit. It’s a chance for you to share a bit about your story and ask questions, and for us to see if I’m the right therapist for you.
