Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially when you or your child are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, executive functioning challenges, or a significant life transition. My goal is to create a safe, trusting, and supportive relationship where you feel understood and empowered to make meaningful changes. My name is Katie, and I am a school psychologist with more than a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I provide individual therapy, parent support and training, school consultation, and comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations. I understand that challenges rarely exist in isolation, and I work collaboratively with clients and families to consider the whole person, including emotional well-being, relationships, school or work functioning, and daily life demands. My therapeutic approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused. I draw from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, somatic approaches, positive psychology, and behavioral parent training. Sessions are individualized to each client’s needs and may focus on developing coping skills, increasing self-awareness and confidence, managing emotions, strengthening executive functioning, improving communication, and creating practical strategies for everyday life. I believe progress begins when individuals feel genuinely heard, supported, and accepted. Together, we will identify your strengths, clarify your goals, and develop realistic strategies that promote positive growth and greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy reading novels, sailing, playing sports, and spending time with friends and family.
