Hello, my name is Katrina Brown, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and emotional overwhelm. Many of my clients are caregivers, helpers, or high-functioning individuals who are highly capable but struggle internally with feelings of exhaustion, being stuck, or deep self-criticism. Therapy can be a place where you no longer have to hold everything together. My approach is trauma-informed care, relational, and depth-oriented. I am grounded in psychoanalytic theory and integrate CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, and existential perspectives, always within a person-centered framework. I believe meaningful change happens through safe, attuned therapeutic relationships where emotions are welcomed and explored without judgment. In our work together, we focus not only on symptom relief but also on understanding patterns, core beliefs, and emotional wounds that continue to shape your present experiences. Therapy may include processing past trauma, learning practical skills for emotional regulation and boundaries, and developing greater self-compassion. My style is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative while also gently challenging when needed. I aim to create a steady space where insight, healing, and growth can unfold at a pace that feels safe and respectful.
