Dr. Higgins has been a licensed clinical psychologist since 2010 and primarily focuses on the brain-behavior relationship. Much of her time at the Center is devoted to being the Director of Psychological Assessment. She helps individuals identify the source of their difficulties and explore appropriate treatment options based on that information. She does evaluations for ADHD, Autism, personality disorders, cognitive functioning, disability, pre-surgical readiness, and fitness for duty. She specializes in working with adults in therapy who have experienced trauma or who struggle with anxiety, primarily utilizing treatment modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
