I’m here to walk beside you as you rediscover your strength and balance. If life feels heavy, confusing, or out of balance, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Whether your challenges are recent or long-standing, therapy can offer a supportive space to slow down, reflect, and feel understood. I approach this work with deep respect for each person’s unique background, values, identities, and lived experiences. Culture, family, community, and personal history all matter—and they are welcomed into the room. I walk alongside you as you rediscover your strengths, clarify what matters most to you, and develop tools that honor who you are and where you come from. Together, we work toward restoring balance, reducing what feels overwhelming, and creating a life that feels more aligned, meaningful, and authentic to you. Request an appointment online today or email me at appointment@phhwtherapy.com so I can contact you and we can begin your journey. My therapeutic approach is primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which aims to change unhelpful thinking and behavioral patterns. I also incorporate elements of relational therapy, family systems work, and mindfulness-based skills. I strive to collaborate with my patients to identify and challenge negative thoughts, to increase emotional regulation, and to strengthen interpersonal functioning. I am dedicated to assisting clients of all ages, including children, adolescents and adults. I am adept at working with a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, relationship problems, life transitions and the effects of trauma. I am particularly passionate about providing affirming and compassionate care to individuals from historically underserved and marginalized communities. My caseload is intentionally diverse, with patients hailing from many different cultural backgrounds and across the lifespan. I strive to create an open and inclusive therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, respected and empowered. My therapeutic approach is tailored to meet each individual where they are, using evidence-based therapy to help them reach their goals. I was born and raised in Yazoo City, Mississippi. I attended Xavier University (BS) and the Chicago School of Psychology (MA). I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and I am Supervised by Jennifer Bradford, PhD. When I am not in the office, I enjoy coloring, photography, exploring new restaurants and spending time with friends and family.
