Whether integrating creativity, humor, or visual learning techniques, she combines expertise with genuine connection to help clients navigate their mental health journeys. Dr. Cover attended the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium for her doctoral training and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System specializing in the Continuum of Care for Addictive Behaviors, Trauma, and Co-Occurring Disorders. Her specialized training in trauma-focused interventions, such as Cognitive Processing Therapy and Written Exposure Therapy, equips her to guide clients toward healing and resilience. She also focuses on managing life transitions, including midlife and later-life changes, and supporting individuals facing medical conditions or chronic pain. Her integrative therapeutic methods, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), allow her to effectively treat a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD. In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Cover is experienced in supporting diverse populations, including veterans, first responders, and the LGBTQ+ community. Dr. Cover’s inclusive and client-centered approach ensures that each person feels heard, validated, and supported throughout their therapeutic process. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Cover enjoys spending time with her dog, hiking with friends, exploring new restaurants, and delving into a good book.
