Do you feel like you have to hide or get rid of your own feelings and needs in order to care for the the feelings and needs of others? Does being in a body sometimes feel overwhelming and difficult to manage? Do you feel like a burden or a failure even though you're trying really hard? Would you like help figuring out how to change things? Therapy is as a collaborative opportunity for you to explore what feels uncomfortable in your life with another person and be met with curiosity and compassion, education and skill-building opportunities, and a belief that you are inherently lovable and capable of healing. Together we will explore the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that have shaped you and develop practical knowledge and skills to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease. True transformation happens when we bring both the mind and body into the therapy process while also acknowledging the larger systems that shape our lives. This means tuning into your body—learning how emotions show up physically and finding ways to regulate your nervous system, release stress, and reconnect with a sense of safety. It also means taking a look at the stories you carry—about yourself, your relationships, and the world—and exploring whether they truly serve you. We’ll work together to reshape unhelpful stories in a way that reflects your values and strengths. I recognize that family dynamics, community influences, and societal pressures all play a role in our well-being, so these dynamics will be addressed throughout our work together as well. My therapeutic approach stems from Humanistic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MB-CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Somatic Therapies, and Narrative Therapy.
