Introduction

Kelly Clanton, MS, PPC, is a client-centered therapist specializing in women’s issues and adults overcoming codependency and/or challenging relationships in the state of Wyoming. Her compassionate, person-centered approach draws from Adlerian principles, while integrating a variety of counseling theories and modalities, according to each client’s specific needs. With Kelly, clients establish a safe, healing counseling relationship where they feel free to identify their feelings and begin to explore unhelpful patterns, often learned in childhood. In time, many of her clients begin to find the inner strength to challenge these patterns, as well as redefine their view of themselves, resulting in true, sustainable change. Kelly has 26 years of experience working with women, including facilitating psychoeducational groups for overcoming codependency, as well as spiritual and life skills development and life coaching. Kelly is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming), as well as the FLASH Technique for addressing trauma. She utilizes these modalities, when appropriate, to help clients affected by various levels of trauma to process distressing memories so they lose their emotional charge. Kelly also has a background as an ICF certified life coach (ACC) where her focus has been on helping adults, especially women, in all aspects of their busy lives.  Kelly is also able to integrate elements of spiritual well-being into sessions when clients desire to explore their healing through a faith-based or spiritual lens. Kelly’s experience working with women also includes volunteering as a mentor at the Casper Rescue Mission.
