Kelly Germaine Strickland is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Masters Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kelly has been in practice for 15+ years. During her graduate work she specialized in providing mental health therapy to children/teens and their families, including interventions for anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, obsessions/compulsions, phobias, depression, eating struggles such as restriction/binging, difficult life transitions, grief/loss, building social skills, trauma recovery, and other family-related issues such as coping with divorce. She has experience working with children with disabilities and/or neurodivergence (diagnostically known as ADHD, Autism, OCD, etc.) that can often coincide with other mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. Kelly worked for a number of years in clinic and school-based settings before opening her own private practice in 2015.
