I draw upon a mix of cognitive, behavioral, and psychodynamic theories, and always start with optimizing the strengths a client is already using to cope with difficult situations. I use a stance of curiosity and humor about the human mind and behavior, the belief that we can all make changes, even if very small, that can change our trajectory.
