Introduction

Hi, I’m Kendyl Brunet, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider (PMH-C). I have more than 15 years of experience supporting adults and families through some of life’s most vulnerable seasons. I specialize in perinatal mental health, trauma-informed therapy, and the emotional transitions that come with becoming and being a parent. I provide virtual therapy to adults throughout Louisiana who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, overwhelm, or feeling unlike themselves during a major life transition. I work with individuals navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood, including those coping with pregnancy loss, birth trauma, NICU experiences, postpartum anxiety or depression, and the emotional overwhelm that can come with caring for a young child. Sometimes parenthood doesn't look or feel the way you expected. You may love your child deeply and still feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, angry, or unsure of yourself. You may be carrying an experience from pregnancy, birth, or your child's early days that you haven't fully processed. You deserve a space where you can talk honestly about those experiences without judgment or expectations about how you should feel. My work in perinatal mental health is also informed by my personal experience as a parent of a former NICU baby. I understand that the transition to parenthood can hold both incredible joy and unexpected fear, grief, uncertainty, and change. My approach is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I believe you deserve a space where you can be honest about what you're experiencing without judgment. Together, we'll work to understand what is underneath the overwhelm, process what you've been through, develop tools that fit your life, and help you feel more confident in yourself and your role as a parent.
