Introduction

Kerry is an energetic, intuitive therapist with a lifelong passion for helping others learn and grow. She is naturally curious about people and their stories—what has shaped them, what may be getting in the way of the life they want, and what helps them move toward becoming their most empowered selves. Kerry uses warmth, humor, and compassion to help others feel valued. She is dedicated to helping her clients develop self awareness and confidence by building on their strengths to overcome life struggles and build resilience. Kerry has a deep understanding of child and adolescent development and a genuine interest in what motivates and impacts young people and their families. She has a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to working with families and teens. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, school avoidance, and a broad range of adolescent challenges. As a Marriage and Family therapist, Kerry views problems from a systemic perspective. She is skilled at evaluating how family interactions and communication patterns affect each person, and how these dynamics can influence the overall functioning of the family. Kerry earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and spent over 25 years as a teacher in both public and private schools. She holds a Master of Arts in Psychology and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her background in education gives her unique insight into the academic, social, and emotional challenges children and adolescents face today. Outside of her clinical work, Kerry enjoys teaching a weekly preschool STEM class and children’s cooking classes. You can also find her substitute teaching at local schools. She is the proud mother of a son serving in the Navy and two adolescent children at home. Kerry enjoys traveling with her family, cooking, and caring for the rescue pets that share their home. Introduce yourself to prospective clients. We suggest adding how you got started, any treatment or client specializations, and how your services can provide a meaningful impact to clients.
