I am Dr. Kia Yang, a licensed clinical psychologist, educator, and advocate dedicated to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and accessible mental health care in California’s Central Valley. I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University and am bilingual in English and Hmong, offering care that bridges psychological science with cultural wisdom and community healing. I am the founder of Mindful Solutions Psychological Services and The Mindful Access Program, providing therapy, psychological assessments, and culturally grounded mental health outreach for underserved and immigrant communities. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for trauma and am a certified HeartMath practitioner, integrating evidence-based treatment with mind-body techniques such as heart-rate variability (HRV) biofeedback to support emotional regulation, stress reduction, and nervous system healing. I specialize in psychological assessment (ADHD, autism, and learning disorders), trauma and PTSD treatment, cultural and intergenerational stress, and refugee and immigrant mental health. My work reflects a commitment to decolonizing therapy, promoting mental health equity, and integrating cultural, spiritual, and psychological healing.
