Introduction

Hi, my name is Kiah Walton, and I am a LCSW-Supervisee at Mind Meadow Counseling, LLC under the supervision of Allana Taylor LCSW, in Fairfax VA. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My goal is to support clients in identifying and processing their emotions so they can respond intentionally rather than react automatically. I offer collaborative, personalized, and person-centered interventions tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. My specialty areas include trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, C-PTSD, OCD, emotional regulation, and mindfulness. Life can be hard and, at times, overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I like my clients to think of me as the passenger in their car — you are in the driver’s seat, while I offer guidance, ask questions, and help you discover where you want to go. I believe every feeling and reaction serves a purpose and can point us toward the wounds that need healing. While trauma can be isolating, I believe connection is a powerful part of the healing process. I draw from CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, psychoanalytic, humanistic, and systems-based approaches to better understand and support you throughout your growth and healing journey. As a recent graduate, I approach this work with humility, curiosity, and a strong commitment to continued learning. I regularly engage with evidence-based research to deepen my understanding and bring thoughtful, practical interventions into our work together. Our sessions will be a space where you can speak openly and honestly without fear of judgment, while also being gently encouraged to explore, reflect, and show up for yourself with compassion and curiosity.
