Introduction

Trauma doesn't end when the experience is over. The ways we learned to cope, protect ourselves, & make sense of what happened can continue to show up in our lives. It can influence how we see ourselves, feel in relationships, set boundaries, & the beliefs we carry about ourselves. I specialize in working with adults healing from childhood trauma, sexual abuse/assault, & emotionally or psychologically abusive relationships. My work also addresses patterns that can develop from trauma, including depression, shame, self-blame, people-pleasing, difficulty trusting yourself, low self-worth, difficulty setting boundaries, & relationship challenges. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, & tailored to your needs. We'll work to understand how trauma has shaped patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, & responses. I primarily use trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while integrating other evidence-based approaches to meet your needs. Therapy with me is collaborative & active, with warmth, care & challenge. We'll make space to process your experiences while also identifying patterns, challenging unhelpful beliefs, developing practical skills, & working toward meaningful change in your daily life. My goal is to provide a space to process the trauma without feeling judged but supported & challenged as we work toward meaningful change: strengthening your sense of self, developing & maintaining healthy relationships, building self-compassion, & moving toward the life you want for yourself. If it feels right, I'd be honored to support your healing.
