With more than 30 years of experience as a social worker, I have devoted my career to serving diverse and vulnerable populations, with a consistent focus on empowering clients to make meaningful changes in their lives. My practice is grounded in meeting individuals where they are, understanding them within the context of their broader and dynamic systems, and addressing the needs of the whole person. I find deep fulfillment in supporting individuals navigating trauma, working with neurodiverse clients, and serving as an ally to the LGBTQIA community. I define success by the achievement of each client’s therapeutic goals and by the lasting, positive transformation they experience. As a certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), I am pleased to offer Somatic Experiencing coaching for personal growth on a private-pay basis—no diagnosis required—for those interested in exploring this body-oriented approach to healing. Somatic Experiencing® is a powerful psychobiological method designed to resolve trauma symptoms and relieve chronic stress. This approach helps reset the nervous system, restore inner balance, enhance resilience, and increase both equanimity and the capacity to fully engage in life. Until recently, I also worked as a Behavior Consultant supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within the Medicaid Waiver system. My professional development includes training in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and advanced Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), specifically Healing the Hidden Wounds. This training has equipped me to serve on Northeast Indiana’s Critical Incident Stress Management Team, where I provide mental health support to first responders following critical incidents and am a Responder Strong trainer.
