Introduction

Welcome. I’m Kim Fearing, a master’s-level counseling intern providing counseling services under clinical supervision. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with a particular interest in anxiety, life transitions, grief, identity, relationships, family dynamics, and the ways past experiences can continue to shape how we see ourselves and connect with others. My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and able to explore what is happening in your life without judgment. Depending on your needs, our work may include exploring emotions and patterns, strengthening relationships, developing practical coping strategies, identifying personal values and strengths, and creating meaningful change. I draw on person-centered, attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems approaches, tailoring counseling to each client’s age, personality, experiences, and goals. When the client desires, I am also comfortable incorporating faith or spirituality into the counseling process. Beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar, so I aim to create a space that feels both supportive and genuine. We will work together to determine what feels most important to you and what you hope counseling can help you understand, change, or move toward.
