Introduction

Welcome! I am Kim Heming, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) and founder of Estuary Wellness & Counseling. Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect. Whether you are navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, caregiving, responsibilities, parenting challenges, or a major life transition, I would be honored to support you. My goal is to provide a calm, supportive place where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move towards meaningful change. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as an elementary teacher and school counselor. Those experiences, and life outside the office, shaped how I practice today. I'm naturally curious, practical, and not afraid of real conversations. Therapy doesn't have to feel stiff or clinical. You don't have to have all the right words, and you definitely don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. I am EMDR trained and use an integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, person-centered counseling, and trauma-informed care. What matters most is finding an approach that actually fits you. I have a special heart for caregivers, educators, helping professionals, parents of children with disabilities or medical complexities, and anyone who's spent so much time taking care of others that they've forgotten what it feels like to be cared for themselves. Estuary Counseling & Wellness provides virtual therapy throughout Washington, with limited in-person sessions coming soon on the Key Peninsula. If you're looking for a therapist who's compassionate, down-to-earth, and occasionally appreciates a little humor along the way, I'd love to meet you.
