Introduction

Hi, I’m Kimberly Samaniego, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, LPC-Associate in Texas supervised by Dr. Shawna M. Corley Ph.D., LPC-S, LCDC, CCTP, NCC. I believe that seeking counseling is a courageous step toward creating meaningful change, and I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. My journey into counseling began with a desire to help others navigate difficult experiences and recognize their own strengths. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio and have experience working with children, adolescents, and families facing a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges. My experience has included supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, adjustment difficulties, trauma, anger, and challenges related to life transitions. My approach is primarily person-centered and incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed practices. I believe that every person’s story is unique, and counseling should be individualized to meet your specific needs, goals, and experiences. Together, we can explore the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be holding you back while developing practical coping skills and strategies to help you move forward. Through Water & Bloom Counseling, my goal is to help clients not only work through current challenges but also develop greater confidence, self-awareness, resilience, and hope for the future.
