Introduction

Empowering individuals who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, fear, and intense emotions to better understand themselves, trust themselves, and respond with intention instead of reacting from overwhelm. When your emotions feel overwhelming, it can seem like they’re making every decision for you. You may find yourself overthinking, reacting in ways you later regret, questioning your self-worth, avoiding situations because of anxiety, fear, or specific phobias, or feeling stuck in relationship patterns that leave you emotionally exhausted. You might know logically what you want to do, but in the moment, your emotions seem to take over, making it difficult to respond in ways that align with who you want to be. If this feels familiar, you’re not alone. At Intentional Therapy, I believe your emotions aren’t the problem—they’re trying to tell a story. They’re often your mind and body’s way of protecting you, even when those responses no longer serve you. Together, we’ll slow down and explore where those emotional patterns come from, whether they’re rooted in past experiences, attachment wounds, unhealthy relationship dynamics, or beliefs you’ve carried for years. By understanding the “why” beneath your emotions, we can begin creating meaningful, lasting change instead of simply managing symptoms. You won’t be judged here for having big emotions. You’ll be met with curiosity, compassion, and a safe, supportive space to explore them. I strive to create a space where your unique background, values, culture, and lived experiences are respected and honored throughout the work we do together. My goal is to help you better understand yourself while learning practical tools to navigate anxiety, fears, specific phobias, overwhelming emotions, and life’s challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-compassion. Therapy isn’t about becoming someone different—it’s about reconnecting with who you are beneath the overwhelm. Together, we’ll move beyond simply managing emotions—we’ll understand where they come from, begin healing the patterns that keep you feeling stuck, and help you respond to life’s challenges with intention rather than react from overwhelm.
