Nicole Lentz, MS, LMFT Nicole is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Indiana and Illinois and the owner of Kindred Roots. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and her Master’s Degree with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University Northwest. Nicole has worked with couples, families, and individuals on a wide variety of issues. She specializes in marriage preparation, marital and relationship conflict, divorce and co-parenting issues, and parenting struggles. Nicole also has experience incorporating a faith-based approach into her work with clients when requested. Nicole is passionate about helping couples and families achieve their goals and improve their lives. She works hard to build a trusting, empathetic, and honest therapeutic relationship with her clients that leads to a safe place to grow and change. Trained in the systemic perspective, she believes understanding a person’s whole “system”, both past and present, is essential to the process of change. She incorporates a variety of theories as appropriate and consistently draws from Structural Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, The Gottman Method of Relationship Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Nicole is also a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator. Julie Perron, MS, LMFT Julie is a licensed marriage and family therapist who counsels adults, couples, families, and adolescents. She sees clients’ challenges as opportunities for them to use their strengths to learn and grow into greater health. She has a systemic approach and enjoys supporting people in their efforts to improve their relationships and their lives. Julie is happy to incorporate clients’ faith into counseling at their request. Julie holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from a dually accredited program at Capella University. Prior to earning that degree, she graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis with a bachelor’s degree in General Studies and a graduate certificate in Family Life Education from the Indiana University School of Social Work.
