Hi all. My name is Kiritin; however, I go by Ray. I am a licensed therapist (LMHC) in that I seek to guide individuals who are experiencing anxiety and depression of all forms towards self-betterment. My goal for all my clients is for them to be able to live their lives authentically and to their true potential through therapy sessions. My approach primarily includes a combination of psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and client-centered therapy to establish a welcoming, safe, nonjudgmental and empathic atmosphere. Through this approach, I work with client collaboratively for them to achieve their goals pertaining to their mental well-being. As an Indo-Caribbean therapist, I have extensive experience working with the West Indian and the BIPOC communities. I have guided individuals who are part of marginalized communities towards success and overcoming societal barriers. My therapeutic style includes providing/establishing a calming, secure and compassionate atmosphere for clients to safely express themselves while simultaneously working on their therapy goals. As I work with clients through a collaborative approach, I will guide them towards pathways that will direct them towards self-fulfillment and achievement of their goals in therapy. Lastly, although I studied Spanish in higher education, I do not consider myself fully fluent in Spanish. Nonetheless, my level of expertise is moderate/professional in which I have experience working with Spanish-speaking individuals.
