Kirsten is a mental health counselor with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wilmington University. She earned her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury University and a Masters degree in Special Education Instruction with a focus on Autism and Severe Intellectual Disabilities from Wilmington University. Prior to becoming a mental health counselor, Kirsten was a special education teacher for children ages 5 through 14. No matter what work Kirsten is supporting her clients through, her approach is rooted in creating a safe, open space for each person to feel heard and supported. Her therapeutic style is both collaborative and personalized, drawing from a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches. She believes that everyone has the capacity for healing and growth and that it is her role to walk alongside her clients as they discover their own resilience and work towards their goals.
