Hi! My name is Krista (she/her) and I believe that each person holds the power to create a meaningful life. My role is to help you break through the barriers that stand in your way, whether they are rooted in relationships, childhood experiences, family conflicts, or self-doubt. Together, we will develop tools that empower you to take greater control of your thoughts, emotions, and perspectives. My experience spans outpatient clinics, hospitals, schools, and substance use treatment centers, giving me a well-rounded and empathetic approach to care. My therapeutic style is integrative, drawing from Solution-Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I believe you already carry the courage needed for change. I am here to walk beside you, offering support and guidance as you move toward greater clarity, resilience, and fulfillment. Krista Hoover, LCMHC, earned her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Niagara University (2020), where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honors Society. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from D’Youville University (2016). Krista is licensed in both North Carolina and New York and has extensive experience across outpatient, hospital, school, and substance use treatment settings.
