Introduction

Now Accepting New Patients In VA, IL, MI, & FL. I am a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in mood disorders and metabolic health. I earned my medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. For the past seven years, I've served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, caring for high-performing individuals who carry enormous responsibility and rarely have the luxury of slowing down — experiences that now shape how I founded Bailey Psychiatry. My patients are often professionals — people who are used to solving problems and leading with competence, but who've hit a wall that willpower alone can't fix. Maybe it's anxiety that shows up as a racing mind at 2am. Maybe it's a depression that's easy to hide behind a full calendar. Maybe it's weight that's crept up under the stress of a schedule with no room to breathe. Whatever it looks like, you don't have to have it all figured out before you reach out. I take an evidence-based, whole-person and body approach to care, combining thoughtful medication management with real conversation about what's actually going on in your life, whether that's your mental health, your relationship with food, or both. No jargon, no judgment, no pretending you need to hit rock bottom to deserve support. Just a space to be honest about how you're doing and build a plan that actually fits your life. Sessions are fully virtual and designed to fit around your schedule. If you're ready to feel like yourself again, I'd love to talk.
