Kristen Simons is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist, and founder of Embodied Healing Counseling and Yoga. She works with adults who may appear to be holding it all together on the outside, but internally feel overwhelmed by anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, or people-pleasing patterns. She also has a passion for supporting individuals through pregnancy and postpartum, helping both new and not-so-new parents navigate the emotional and identity shifts that come with this stage of life. Kristen’s approach blends psychotherapy with nervous system regulation and mind-body practices. She collaborates with clients to identify core values and personal strengths that can serve as a foundation for meaningful, sustainable change. Together, they explore realistic and actionable ways to manage difficult emotions in everyday life. This may include mindfulness practices, lifestyle and behavioral shifts, self-compassion work, or strengthening communication skills. As a Registered Yoga Teacher, Kristen also integrates a body-based lens into her work, helping clients better understand the connection between their mental and physical experiences. She offers private yoga sessions, both in-office and virtually, for those interested in deepening this mind-body connection in a more experiential way. At Embodied Healing Counseling and Yoga, Kristen and her team take a collaborative and integrative approach to care. While Kristen has limited availability, she works closely with therapists on her team who share a similar philosophy and may be a great fit depending on your needs and preferences. Kristen is known for her warm, calm, and personable style. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change and supports clients in cultivating self-compassion, reducing internal pressure, and creating a life that feels more aligned with their values and vision.
