Introduction

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and more than 25 years of experience in lay and pastoral counseling. I bring a warm, compassionate, and calming presence to my work with teens, adults, couples, and families. I understand that life can sometimes feel messy, overwhelming, or simply difficult to navigate. Anxiety can begin calling the shots, relationships can become complicated, grief can feel heavy, or life transitions can leave you wondering what comes next. Whatever season you're in, I believe you don't have to face it alone. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and other evidence-based approaches. I recognize that every person has a unique story, so I work collaboratively with each client to understand their individual needs and goals. Together, we can develop greater self-awareness, challenge unhelpful patterns of thinking, build practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change. I have experience helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma-related concerns, relational conflict, life transitions, emotional regulation, boundary setting, faith-related concerns, relational wounds, and struggles with identity and self-worth. I also enjoy helping couples improve communication, rebuild connection, and navigate life's challenges together. For clients who desire it, I welcome the opportunity to integrate Christian faith into the counseling process. With my background in pastoral care, I recognize that faith can be an important source of comfort, wisdom, hope, and strength. I strive to create a space where clients can explore spiritual questions and concerns openly and without judgment. One of my greatest joys is helping people rediscover hope when life has felt heavy. I believe therapy should be a safe, nonjudgmental place where you can be honest, ask difficult questions, laugh, cry, gain insight, and learn new ways of responding to life's challenges. My hope is that you leave not only with practical tools for navigating the present, but with a greater sense of confidence, hope, and possibility for the future.
