Introduction

I believe meaningful psychiatric care begins with feeling genuinely heard, understood, and supported—not simply receiving another label or prescription. I'm Dr. Kristi Wragg, a board-certified psychiatrist and former clinical social worker with nearly two decades of experience in mental health care. My background in both social work and medicine, along with specialized psychoanalytic training, shapes my approach to understanding the whole person—not just their symptoms. I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, trauma and PTSD, burnout, difficult relationships, and major life transitions. I'm particularly passionate about diagnostic clarification, helping individuals who haven't found relief with previous treatments, & thoughtfully optimizing or simplifying complex medication regimens. My approach is warm, collaborative, and psychotherapy-informed. I take time to explore your experiences, relationships, lifestyle, and personal goals while integrating evidence-based treatment, thoughtful medication management, and non-medication strategies when appropriate. My goal isn't simply symptom reduction, but helping you rediscover a greater sense of peace, purpose, and alignment in your life. At Sunshine Psychiatry & Wellness, I offer personalized, private-pay psychiatric care for adults through convenient virtual appointments in Florida & North Carolina. You deserve more than a rushed conversation. Psychiatry, in a different light.
