Introduction

Are you struggling with feelings of sadness, or frequently feeling anxious and worried? Do you question your worth at times or feel bad about yourself? Are you feeling frustrated with the state of your significant relationships with others? Do you have difficulty breaking undesirable habits, but feel frustrated and baffled when you slide back into those unhealthy or addictive patterns? You are not alone! Together within a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, you can receive the guidance, care, and compassion you deserve. As a therapist with expertise in trauma informed therapy modalities such as EMDR and IFS (Internal Family Systems/Parts Work). I help clients to break unwanted habits, patterns and beliefs that may be holding them back. When our emotional life is out of balance, we often find ourselves repeating patterns that become self-defeating. In turn these self-defeating patterns leave us feeling anxious, unsatisfied, or depressed, and often lead to low self-esteem. We may feel shame, the feeling that something is deeply wrong with me or that I am defective, different, or not good enough. I have found in my work with clients that generally when a person has experienced overwhelming life experiences, the distress and unease caused by these events can lead to depression, anxiety, addictive behaviors, self-harm, health related problems, and/or attachment difficulties in relationships. The difficult life events experienced in childhood can have a big impact on our adult lives. Fortunately, healing from these difficult past experiences is possible. You can gain control and experience calm, connection, and compassion towards yourself and others. You do not have to walk the journey alone.
