You deserve to feel balanced, strong, and connected to a life that feels meaningful and full. Stress, anxiety, and trauma don’t just affect thoughts and emotions—they can show up in the body and impact clarity, relationships, and daily well-being. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and older adults across outpatient, crisis, residential, insurance-based, first responder, and military settings. I bring a strengths-based, resilience-focused approach to my work, with a genuine passion for supporting military service members, veterans, law enforcement, and first responder communities. My specialization is in trauma and PTSD, and I am a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) practitioner. My clinical background includes work with Naval Base San Diego, Fleet & Family Support Center, and the Wounded Warrior Battalion at Naval Medical Center Balboa. I have also deployed with military commands through the Navy’s Return and Reunion Program and worked closely with the San Diego Police Department as a Psychiatric Emergency Response (PERT) clinician—experiences that deepened my commitment to supporting individuals impacted by trauma, PTSD, and traumatic brain injury. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based care, including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and CBT-informed interventions. I integrate both body-based and talk therapy approaches to support regulation, healing, and lasting change, with a focus on helping clients build resilience, manage stress, and reconnect with their values, sense of self, and capacity for growth. I also work as a certified Facility Dog Handler and often incorporate my therapy dog, Walter, into sessions when appropriate. Walter is a professionally trained facility dog who supports therapeutic goals by helping clients feel grounded, calm, and engaged in the healing process.
