Kristin’s path into the mental health profession was shaped by her early work with high-needs foster youth. Witnessing their strength and resilience sparked a deep commitment to supporting individuals on their journeys toward healing and personal growth. She completed her undergraduate studies at a California State University before earning her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC). Kristin began her clinical career at the YWCA in the WINGS program, where she worked closely with youth and adult survivors of domestic violence, providing advocacy, support, and trauma-informed care. She later broadened her experience in the field of substance use treatment, serving as a drug court clinician and supporting individuals navigating recovery. Her background also includes working in elementary school settings, partnering with children and families facing a range of emotional and behavioral challenges. Kristin currently specializes in treating complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. She is certified in EMDR and has completed advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through the Beck Institute, integrating evidence-based approaches into her work with clients. Outside of her professional life, Kristin is a devoted mother of three who treasures time with her family and community. She enjoys traveling and caring for her small, growing farm, where she finds peace in tending to her animals and watching her children delight in the simple moments of life.
