My name is Kristin, and I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #164125) in Oceanside, CA and through Telehealth I was drawn to therapeutic work out of a deep desire to understand the complexities of relationships, and after applying much of what I’ve learned in my own life, I now have the privilege of walking alongside others as they navigate life’s challenges that are easier to face with support. I work with individuals, couples, and families from a psychodynamic approach with an emphasis on understanding your story and how past experiences shape present patterns. I also weave in experiential techniques to help you not only talk about change, but begin to feel and live it in the room building resilience. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years working as a conflict resolution specialist in a variety of settings, from legal disputes to complex relational conflicts, which helps me create a steady, safe space to work through difficult topics. I completed my MFT degree at Biola University, which equipped me to show up with empathetic curiosity and a client-centered posture that honors your values, culture, and faith. In addition to my graduate training, I have completed the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) externship and am trained in EMDR, allowing me to integrate attachment-based and trauma-focused interventions into our work. When I’m not working, I spend time with my husband of over 30-years, where we often make plans to visit grandbabies with our golden-doodle, Finley.
