Helping Clients Thrive As a professional counselor, I come alongside clients with compassion and hope. Through the counseling relationship, we work together to address the challenges that accompany anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, grief and major life transitions. I work primarily with adults and will work with you to take steps to improve mental, emotional, and spiritual health through learning to successfully navigate the complexities of life. I worked for three years in hospice and palliative care at St. Elizabeth Healthcare. The experience and insights I received from patients and their families fostered in me a desire to work with those who are facing grief, whether it is because of the death of a loved one or through other losses. In the face of great loss you need the support of someone who can offer stability and hope. Friends and families can often fill that void, but if there are additional needs, I can come alongside you in your grief. I also see a great opportunity to help those who are entering into a new stage of life, whether it be transitioning from high school to college, becoming an empty-nester, preparing for marriage, moving from full-time employment to retirement, divorce, etc. Those periods of life can be stressful and uncertain, and having an outside perspective to support, help, and guide can be welcome. I can assist my clients during times of transition to find a way to acceptance and peace. My goal is to build a safe haven where clients can explore their concerns and burdens, and determine how to match their values and beliefs with positive action. I would love to help you identify your goals and map out a plan for taking positive steps toward those goals.
