I am a master’s-level Mental Health Counseling student with experience in both the medical and behavioral health fields, including supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey and working with children using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I was drawn to the counseling field because I have always valued creating a space where people can feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted for who they are. My experience working with children and families, particularly children with autism, strengthened my interest in understanding each person’s emotions, experiences, relationships, and individual needs. I take a person-centered and collaborative approach to counseling, while also incorporating psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, and play-based interventions when they are helpful for the client. I believe the client's are the experts of their own experiences and my role is to support them in exploring patterns, building insight, and identifying changes that feel meaningful to them. Client's may describe me as calm, patient, compassionate, and collaborative, with a genuine interest in understanding their individual experiences and creating a space where they feel comfortable being themselves. My goal is to provide a warm and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel comfortable being themselves while developing greater confidence, self-understanding, and healthier ways of coping.
