As a counseling professional, I believe in providing access to mental health support. Everyone is entitled to quality counseling, regardless of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, ability, or socioeconomic status. Every client is different and needs an individualized approach to meet their goals. Previously I worked in the financial services industry for over 14 years, where I observed mental health challenges associated with individuals feeling perpetually trapped in high stress environments, especially when facing inequities within the workplace. The lack of qualified mental health providers of color during the COVID-19 pandemic was a key motivating factor in my journey to becoming a therapist. I utilize a person-centered approach, customizing my therapeutic approach to everyone based on a variety of factors, such as personal goals and cultural norms. I hold space and attentively listen without bias or judgment. Incorporating a strengths-based perspective with aspects of acceptance and commitment therapy and solution-focused counseling interventions. Creating an open, warm, and encouraging therapeutic environment for everyone. I have a passion to help support clients working through career-related concerns and heal from workplace trauma. I look forward to supporting you on your mental health journey.
