Most recently, Kristin has completed training in Natural Lifemanship and provides Equine Assisted Psychotherapy part-time at Courage Ranch, located in Floresville, Texas. Kristin is a single mom of two amazing daughters, both of whom have rare medical conditions. As a result, Kristin has a passion for working with other families and children with rare diseases. Kristin believes that every client is unique! Therefore, she tailors counseling techniques to meet the individual client’s needs. As a result, Kristin offers an eclectic approach & may utilize a variety of therapies to include but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT); Sociometrics & Psychodrama; Inner Child Work; Logotherapy; Internal Family Systems; Solution Focused; & Trauma Systems/Trauma Informed Care. She is open to integrating Spirituality into therapy sessions based on the comfort level of or at the request of the client. In addition to her passion for the rare disease world, Kristin also specializes in eating disorders and codependency. She has extensive training in Trauma Systems Therapy/Trauma Informed Care and has served as Trauma Systems Coordinator at a residential treatment facility. She was trained in, participated in, co-facilitated and led anger/shame reduction work and family sculpting at Shades of Hope Treatment Center. She believes this type of work can be especially powerful in working through family of origin issues and healing from trauma of any origin. Her goal is to help clients break negative cycles, begin healing from their past, embrace their inner being, and reattach new meaning to their trauma as they discover their divine purpose.
