Hi and welcome! I’m Kristina Gonzalez a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy to adult individuals in California via Telehealth since 2021. Prior to starting my psychotherapy business I worked for various mental health agencies, government organizations, mental health hospitals, and non-profit clinics. I have been refining my skills for 12 years now and am happy to say that I absolutely love what I do. I have worked with a wide array of clients living all over California, but most importantly whose families or upbringings have come from all over the world. I work hard to honor the cultures and backgrounds from which my clients come from. Providing care to diverse individuals keeps me curious, humble, and grounded. Many clients would describe me as an exceptional listener, a challenging guide, and over all a therapist who can provide also provide a warm and nurturing environment for growth and awareness. Because my therapeutic style emphasizes the relationship we build doing this work together I find meaning in sharing some foundational background about myself. I am a biracial cis woman and mother who is a first generation high school and college graduate. I am a daughter of an immigrant father, and grew up in LA county where much of my upbringing was amongst Latin and Black families. It was not until moving to various parts of California, for work, school, or family, that I have been immersed in other cultures, living in San Francisco, Oakland, the Central Valley, and even Orange County. I currently reside in Humboldt County where I live with my family and have called it home for nearly 9 years. When I am not working, or being a toddler mom, I am spending time at the beach or hiking trails with friends and family, or caring for my mind and body through the practice of yoga and pilates.
