Introduction

My practice is guided by Existential and Intersectional Feminist theories. I believe we all face the four existential givens of existence (death, freedom, isolation, and meaninglessness). The salience of each of these struggles is influenced by a person’s social, cultural, and political context. Often what is labeled “illness” is actually a natural response to oppression, trauma, or external circumstances. Therapy seeks to increase the visibility of these forces rather than pathologize the people who are hurt by them. In addition to attending to environmental forces, being a healthy human involves an intentional mixture of the mundane (e.g., eating, sleeping, finances) and the transcendent (e.g., mystical experiences, connection, purpose). Therapy reflects this by caring for the whole person and bolstering parts that have received less consideration. My clientele are adults (age 18+), with most identifying as LGBTQIA+ and/or women. I provide a friendly, warm environment where you can authentically express yourself and make intentional choices about how you want to move forward in life. Sessions look different for each client, as I try to be responsive to individual needs. I believe clients know intuitively where they need to go in therapy and I do my best to join with you, honoring your self-knowledge, wisdom, and life experience. I have specialized training through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies and Kayru Wellness to provide psychedelic integration therapy. I do not provide access to substances, but am happy to support before/after a personal, medical, or therapeutic experience with psychedelics. Psychedelic integration therapy aims to increase one's sense of self as a whole being. Therapy honors the ineffable nature of plant medicines by leaning into uncertainty and nurturing creativity. It centers the client's innate ability to move toward wholeness and wellbeing.
