Introduction

I provide behavioral sleep medicine through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) for teens through older adults who feel stuck in a frustrating cycle of insomnia and worry about sleep. Many of my clients start out thinking, “My body forgot how to sleep,” or “My brain is too anxious to shut off.” They’ve often tried everything: supplements, strict routines, sleep trackers, early bedtimes, sleeping in, naps, scrolling until they pass out, and yet sleep keeps getting worse. Over time, insomnia doesn’t just make nights miserable; it can spill into daytime life as irritability, low mood, difficulty concentrating, dread around bedtime, and a constant sense of running on empty. A common pattern I see is that anxiety and insomnia begin feeding each other. The more someone worries about not sleeping, the more alert their brain becomes and the harder sleep is to access. People start “trying” to sleep, watching the clock, negotiating with themselves, and doing everything in their power to control sleep… which unintentionally trains the brain to treat bed as a place for stress and wakefulness instead of rest. The most important part of CBT-I is that it’s not about forcing sleep—it’s about retraining your sleep system. In our work together, we create a clear plan that reduces sleep struggle and restores confidence in your ability to sleep again. CBT-I is a structured, evidence-based approach that targets the habits, scheduling patterns, and unhelpful thoughts that keep insomnia going. We’ll build practical skills you can use for the long run so sleep doesn’t feel fragile, unpredictable, or dependent on the “perfect” conditions. My goal is to help you move from, “I’m terrified of another bad night,” to, “Even if I have a rough night, I know exactly what to do and my sleep will recover.” Treatment is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your life, whether you’re a teen whose sleep schedule has gotten off track, a busy parent juggling stress, or an older adult who’s tired of feeling like sleep has become a nightly battle. As a board-certified CBT-I clinician in behavioral sleep medicine, my areas of focus include: Insomnia Treatment (CBT-I) | Anxiety & Sleep Worry | Racing Mind at Night | Middle-of-the-Night and Early Morning Wake Ups | Sleep Confidence & Routine Reset If you’re ready to get started, I offer a brief consultation so we can talk about what you’re experiencing and make sure it feels like a good fit. I’d love to help you get back to sleeping with more ease—and living with more energy.
