I believe that meaningful, goal-oriented conversation has the opportunity to empower individuals and create real progress on their mental health journey. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, I earned my B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh. My professional experiences include working as a crisis counselor, in grief counseling, as a behavior technician, and even as a tennis instructor all of which have shaped my ability to connect with people in different ways. I am currently pursuing my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Syracuse University, where I am in my second year of the program. As part of my training, I receive clinical supervision from Amudalat Lasisi. I believe each individual is the expert of their own life. As a counselor, my role is to provide personalized support that honors your unique journey. My therapeutic approach is primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & integrating Narrative Therapy, while integrating Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), somatic practices, and more. I recognize that the stories we tell ourselves and the ways we interpret life’s obstacles can deeply influence how we feel internally and how we experience the world around us. Working through a culturally sensitive lens is central to my practice. For meaningful counseling to take place, individuals must feel safe, heard, and understood. In the counseling space, you are encouraged to bring your full self without holding back.
