Introduction

Hi, I’m Kyle Villella, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working under the supervision of Cathy Chambliss. I got started in this work because I’m passionate about helping boys and young men, and the people who care about them, navigate the complicated transitions of growing up and what it means to be a man today. I specialize in trauma‑informed, relationship‑focused care for adolescents and young adults, with experience treating anxiety, anger, depression, family conflict, grief, and issues around identity and masculinity. I also specialize in screen and video game addiction, helping clients and families manage unhealthy tech use and rebuild balanced routines and relationships. My approach blends evidence‑based methods (CBT, TF‑CBT, SFBT) with relational and humanistic perspectives, and I draw on Choice Theory/Reality Therapy to help clients focus on present choices, personal responsibility, and practical behavior change. This combination lets us address symptoms while strengthening communication, building coping skills, and increasing resilience. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space, practical tools for managing stress and emotion, and collaborative support to help you build healthier relationships and a more grounded sense of self. If you’re looking for focused, compassionate care and clear, measurable steps forward, I’d be honored to work with you.
