Kymberly Powell has been licensed since 2016 and has worked with a variety of people. She has provided services to those as young as five and as mature as 70+. She has worked with various cultures and races. She has an eclectic therapeutic approach with the goal of meeting the client where they are. Progress looks client-driven, not clinician-driven, so it looks different for everyone. Kymberly has been known to identify tasks to complete between sessions that could be helpful to a client. When providing services, although she can facilitate couples and groups, she finds working one-on-one satisfying, as it reduces the likelihood of a client feeling judged by another person and fearing speaking one's true thoughts and feelings. Kymberly's core values were shaped by her upbringing as the youngest of two children in a single-parent household. She is aware of what it feels like to feel overlooked and unheard, which also facilitates her cultural sensitivity; Kymberly has a heart for those who need just a little extra understanding and patience to feel heard and cared for.
