With more than 26 years of experience in behavioral health and addiction counseling, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. Throughout my career, I have worked in outpatient, community, school, and residential settings, providing support to adolescents, adults, and families facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2009 and currently a Counseling Supervisor with the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling. I hold a Master's Degree in Community Counseling and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from the University of South Alabama. As a Master's Addiction Counselor through NAADAC, I bring extensive expertise in addiction recovery, mental health treatment, and personal growth. Drawing from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Empowerment, and Person-Centered techniques, I tailor treatment to meet the unique needs of each client. I take a holistic approach to counseling, recognizing the important connection between emotional, psychological, relational, and overall well-being. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship can be a powerful catalyst for change. By creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment, she helps clients build on their focusing on their goals.
