Hello, I am a body-centered and movement psychotherapist (LPC) focused mostly on trauma metabolization. I am trained in EMDR, CPT, TF-CBT, and other trauma modalities, but mostly I utilize somatic, spiritual and authentic movement lenses to integrate body, emotions, mind and soul processes of each client. I am currently expanding these lenses to include transpersonal and transgenerational processes, ritual, spirituality and grief. In this sense I see healing as a holistic path toward resiliency and deepening of the self in relationship to others (past, present and future). I have developed and managed intensive trauma treatments for clients on probation to reduce recidivism and chronic symptoms in this population (this was part of a 2 year ARPA grant for the state of Colorado that finished in December 2024). I have directed for 6 years a local mental health clinic (Whole Connection), where I was in charge of the clinical program development and the training of students and interns, providing care for Medicaid clients and other low-income populations. I left a month ago to have more space for the needs of my family and to expand my practice toward new territories. I am bilingual and bicultural, and my work is grounded in a social justice framework that recognizes how personal suffering is intertwined with collective and systemic realities. It is essential to me to expand access to mental health care for marginalized communities and immigrants, addressing the structural barriers that shape their lived experience. In my practice, I explore how identities and histories are embodied—how culture, power, and belonging manifest somatically—and how we can cultivate resilience through awareness, movement, and connection. Finally, I am also a faculty member of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, currently teaching in Asia, Australia and the USA. Prior to my engagement with SPI (2018), I taught at Naropa University and University Autonomous of Barcelona. In my current mentoring capacity, I also offer consultations and supervise other clinicians. Thank you for your trust.
