Hi, I’m Lakyn—a trauma-informed therapist here to help you heal and grow. I work with clients of all ages, starting as young as four, and bring a warm, collaborative approach to therapy. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University and began my career in addiction and recovery work with women and children. That experience deepened my passion for trauma therapy and laid the foundation for the work I do today. I’m certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and HeartMath, and trained in DBT, IFS, ACT, and CBT. I specialize in helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and emotional overwhelm. My therapeutic style is rooted in compassion and the belief that healing begins when we feel safe, supported, and truly heard. I use creative, evidence-based tools to help clients process the past, regulate their emotions, and reconnect with their strengths. Outside of the therapy room, I find balance through faith, family, baking, hiking, and travel—I’ve explored 27 states and 7 countries so far. I believe healing is not just about what happens in session, but also about finding joy, connection, and purpose in everyday life. Whether you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or simply ready for change, I’m here to walk alongside you—one step at a time.
