Introduction

Lanelle is a Licensed Marriage, Child & Family Therapist (LMFT) who resides in Los Angeles, Ca., she has over 15 years as a therapist. Because of her life experience, Lanelle has been able to meet her clients where they are, while helping them change the way they navigate through life. She is an EXPERT at trauma informed care and implementing harm reduction and uses this to change the way communities of color view therapist and mental health. This has become one of the pillars of her practice. She prides herself with being an ALLY and strives to “bridge the gap” between people of color and the LGBTQIA community. Lanelle is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive therapy (TF-CBT), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Effective Practices in Community Support (EPICS) and incorporates these tools while utilizing Client Centered approaches. In 2020, Lanelle started Change Ur Narrative Consulting, LLC to teach professionals how important it is to eliminate biases, educate communities on mental wellness, and change the way we approach everyday challenges. She recently started her private practice “Heal(Thy) Self Wellness services” which provides therapy services to individuals’ struggling with anxiety, depression and/or Trauma. She is known for saying “This isn’t just my passion; this is my purpose!”
